2018 to Present – Video Restoration –
8mm and Super 8mm film editing and digital transfer, conversion of various tape media including but not limited to DVCAM and 3/4″ U-Matic. Digital color and scratch corrections.

2017 to Present – Live Broadcast Director and Producer –
As of 2025 Derek had produced over 200 live broadcasts, both online and local cable channel.

Research and complete repairs for all major brands of photographic equipment from 1905 forward, parts fabrication and replacement, electronic and mechanical repair skills.

2007 to Present – Photographer –
All digital and film formats (135 / 120 / 4X5), Chemical developing and printing, Film Digitizing, Traditional and digital darkroom.

2005 to Present – Audio Production –
Record, edit and master on both digital and analog equipment, basic mixing from PA and studio consoles.

2001 to Present – Web Design –
With expertise in HTML, CSS, social media and blogging platforms, website creation and migration, WordPress and Joomla platforms, and utilizing analytics and SEO strategies.

2016 – 2019 – Official Photographer for the Muskegon Lumberjacks Hockey Organization – United States Hockey League.
