EXPERIENCE

2007 to Present – Analog and digital photography –
All digital and film formats (125 / 120 / 4X5), Chemical developing and printing, Film Digitizing, Traditional and digital darkroom.

2013 to Present –  Video Production –
Record and render SD and FHD formats from a variety of sources, audio mixing, color correction and complete editing. 8mm and Super 8mm film editing and digital transfer, conversion of various tape media including but not limited to DVCAM and 3/4″ U-Matic.

2017 to Present – Live Broadcast Director and Producer –
Live Broadcast Director and Producer. As of 2022 Derek had directed over 55 live broadcasts, both online and local cable channel.

2005 to Present – Sound and Audio Production –
Record, edit and master up to 8 input sources on both digital and analog equipment, basic mixing from PA and studio consoles.

2001 to Present – Digital Media Practices –
General Knowledge of HTML and CSS, Social media and blogging platforms, Portfolio creation, WordPress and Joomla platform, embedding, page layout, SEO, editing and production software.

2009 to Present – Vintage camera and related equipment repair –
Research and complete repairs for all major brands of photographic equipment from 1905 forward, parts fabrication and replacement, electronic and mechanical repair skills.

2016 – 2019 – Official Photographer for the Muskegon Lumberjacks Hockey Organization – United States Hockey League.

2017 – 2018 –  Official Photographer for the Muskegon Risers Soccer Club – National Premier Soccer League / Major Arena Soccer II.
